"Weekly Chatter with CWOW" - From the leaders

Hello ladies!!!  We have a great newsletter for you this week as usual so
I'm gonna just make one comment.  A member has reported to me that sites
sometimes fail the ring if there is a trailing slash after the URL.  In
other words, if your URL is http://www.yoursite.com/address/ webring.org
apparently prefers you leave off the slash at the end.  It only takes a
second longer for servers to process the URL without the slash so if you
can't figure out why your site is failing, that could be why.

Also, please make sure your URL at webring.org is the page you have the code
on.

God has really been good to me this week so I want to publicly praise Him!!!

*UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL*

Ladies of CWOW.....welcome to the 'Interview' section of the CWOW
Newsletter.  Here we will be interviewing members of this women's christian
group! It will give you an opportunity to get to
know each one in a more personal way. We will be able to grow spiritually
closer as a group.

This weeks interview will be with the Founder of Christian Women on the Web.
Her name is Cindie Fortune.  Cindie is a mother of one, soon to be seventeen
years old, daughter named Ashley.
Clearwater, Florida is where she lives at the present time. Cindie is the
President of Union Publishing Inc. located in Florida, New York, and soon to
be in the Oklahoma areas. Creating
Publications has been a part of Cindie's life for the past eight years.  She
is affiliated with GCIU Local Union 180-C ..... Graphics Communication
International Union.  You may visit her business website here ......
http://www.unionpublishinginc.com/union.htm Cindie is now 38 years old and
is a Born-Again Christian.

                   *********
Christian Women on the Web was born out of a desire for real spirituality to
be shared with all Women in the world. In creating this WEBRING.... Cindie
met an on-line friend who later became her co-founder.  They were compatible
and seemed to have the same views about what they were seeing in other
women's webrings. They were alarmed that the very essence of what they were
seeing would be harmful to some who were truly seeking God's will in their
lives... As they shared their thoughts and prayers.....God was creating CWOW
!  He brought them together with their talents and knowledge to form the
webring that you are currently a part of.  Below here... you will find an
except from one of Cindie's pages defining her thoughts ....... This
Christian Women of the Web was a way that God spoke to me and my friend
Angel. I had the desire and felt
compelled to create a group, ring, just something for God.  As we stepped
out in faith with this ring, it began to form.  God did bring us together on
the internet and we both wanted to
share the same things.  I had prayed long and hard about something like
this, then along came
Angel..

A verse Cindie relates to and hopes that you will too:

Jn:10:9: I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and
shall go in and out, and find pasture.

>>>>>>>>>>

The above friend is Angel Smoot. She is the other co-founder and still a
member of this Webring.... You may find the original  "Meet our Founders"
page below.  http://www.cwowfoundation.org/founders.html

Angel has moved on to do other work.  She also has a business site on the
web.. Visit her here:
http://Cherise.net/home.html

Below you will find the questions that I asked Cindie to comment on .... I
thought they would be helpful to you in understanding a little about the
webring that you are a part of .... If you are interested in asking Cindie
anything, please feel free to write to her at
cindie@cwowfoundation.org

Questions & Answers :

1.   Cindie... I am interested to know what brought you to the www?
Answer: I originally started on the www for business
      purposes only.

2.   What was it  that interested you about online groups and webrings?
Answer: Groups and Webrings were actually new to me
until I joined a group of women (women only group) - I
thought it was such a "neat" thing at the time for a
women's only group to join together across the www and
get to know one another as much as possible via the
www and be there for anyone who just needed to chat
      with someone at the time.

3.   Would you say they were good for everyone?
Answer: Yes - I feel that if you get with a group that
YOU like and YOU feel comfortable with it can help
with many things in your day to day life. Be it a
webring/group for social - Christianity - or just
       simply friendship.

4.    How can you decide if a webring is where you need to be?
Answer: I can't. You find that out by searching
HEAVILY into one if you are interested in joining one.
Search and search and search to WHO is the originator
of the group - what they believe and for what purpose
      they have designed the group.

5.    How did CWOW originate?
Answer: By 2 ladies that joined a group of women and
found that these ladies were actually mostly non
christian. I mean actually wiccan and simply did not
believe in God. The 2 ladies got together via the www
and the phone and prayed for 2 weeks about the
decision to start CWOW and God provided a way for us
       to start CWOW.

6.    What were the goals and objectives for CWOW when it was formed?
Answer: Simply a form of communication for Christian
women to communicate with other Christian women across
        the www.

7.    What makes CWOW different than other webrings?
Answer: We are non actually different - but I will say
unique - as each one is. Rules are abided by in CWOW
and monitored closely so that Christian women can
fellowship with other Christian women. CWOW is guided
by God and that is the only way that perhaps CWOW is
        different.

8.    When making decisions concerning the properties and structure of
this
ChristianWebring; what were some of the determining factors?
Answer: Who wanted to be a member? Keeping it
Christian oriented TOTALLY. (Main factor - Christian
women uniting with other Christian women)

 9.  Where would you like to see CWOW in the future?
Answer: Just making it available to any and all
Christian women as well as those that do not know God.
I would hope & pray to see that CWOW can, has and will
continue to bring others to Christ.

10.   If there is one thing you would like to change about the way
christian women
focus on 'Spirituality' what would you say to them as the
founder of
Christian Women on the Web  ?
Answer: Let God handle it. Just look to God and he
shall provide all the answers - regardless of what it
is. Let go and Let God handle it. His shoulders are
far more bigger than anyone else's. However I would
like to see more communication with the actual members
        of CWOW.

11.    Please leave us with some words of  'Womanly Peals of Wisdom'
........ *s*
Answer: Regardless of how much you may feel that you
are not worthy - GOD does forgive - all you have to do
is ask and have faith. HE is the ALMIGHTY power and
once you give your life to him doesn't mean that your
life will be a "bed of roses" but I must say that
having FAITH is a key factor - he will provide - you
must have faith and ask. God forgives for all things -
but you must take the first step and ask!
         I love you all
        God bless you and yours,
         Cindie
 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Today, Cindie has dedicated herself to her work and her family, but
still remains here to serve as God leads her.
CWOW will always be dedicated to the Lord in her heart and first in her
prayers.

This is one of Cindie's verses that speaks to her heart...perhaps it
will yours....

For whosoever believeth in him shall have everlasting life. Each day we
strive to
lead the righteous path. If we stray, we must look back and thank God
for that
day. Everything happens for a reason, even though we do not understand
at times,
we should not question it. Christians have good days and bad days, but
things are
so much more simple when you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal
savior.
Have you? I pray you have.

Glennette is now the Leader of CWOW, although, Cindie has return to serve as
Co-leader with her.
For those who didn't know...Cindie had to leave CWOW for a while......Joy
and Glennette agreed to continue on as Leaders of CWOW.  Joy has since left
us to continue on in her work.  Cindie has been able to return to CWOW and
is serving in the capacity of Co-Leader.

A TOUCH OF HEART  -   From   Your   Sisters   in   Christ

From:   Deena

Hi!
I just received this request for prayer from a dear sister in Christ.
Would you all please cover her in
prayer?
Blessings,
Deena
Jeremiah 29:11
Hello everyone, my father who has Alzheimer's is missing. He walked away
from his group home
yesterday afternoon around 4 and hasn't been seen since. He's been in
Southern Utah for the last 7
months (since my mom passed away) He doesn't know the town at all and
who knows where he could
have gone. Please everyone, pray for the safety of my dad and also the
people who are trying to find him.
I guess they had the blood hounds out all night and came up with
nothing. I'm still trying to decide if I
need to go there (I'm in Cal about 8 hrs away) or if I should wait a few
days to see what happens. Either
way, I'm sick to my stomach right now. I'll keep you updated and thanks
to everyone for their prayers.

In God's Love Steph

"Food For Thought"

God didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow, sun without rain,
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears,
and light for the way.

Disappointments are like road humps,
they slow you down a bit
but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards.
Don't stay on the humps  too long. Move on!

When you feel down because you didn't get what you want,
just sit tight and be happy,
because God is thinking of something  better to give you.

When something happens to you, good or bad,
consider what it means.
There's a purpose to life's events,
to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard.

You can't make someone love you,
all you can do is be someone who can be loved,
the rest is up to the person to realize your worth.

What the heart gives away is never gone...
It is kept in the hearts of others.
Remember that great love and great
achievements involve great risks.
Secure a special place in your heart.
A certain place only you can enter.
For there will come a time when you
need to find yourself and only
your heart will show you the way.

The measure of love is when you love without measure.
In life there are very rare chances that you'll meet the
person you love and loves you in return.
So once you have it don't ever let go,
the chance might never come your way again.

It's better to lose your pride to the one you love,
than to lose the one you love because of pride.
We spend so much time looking for the right person
to love or finding fault with those we already love,
when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.

When you truly care for someone,
you don't look for faults,
you don't look for answers,
you don't look for mistakes.
Instead, you fight the mistakes,
you accept the faults,
and you overlook excuses.

Never abandon an old friend.
You will never find one who can take his
place. Friendship is like wine, it gets
better as it grows older.

"Faith makes
the uplook good; the outlook bright;
the inlook favorable; the future glorious!"

Dear Friends,

Please pray for me, I am applying for a position as an internet graphic
designer at Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.  I am a single mother
with two small boys. I need the income so badly, and hate going back to
work, but feel that God has called me to do what I need to do and just
grin and bear it.   To work for a Christian company would be a dream come
true, especially doing something I love so much!!!

Please pray that God's will be done and that my children would never
suffer for not having a stay at home mom.
I'd ask that you pray God sends me a husband so I can stay at home,
homeschool my kids and continue on with my home-based web design
business,
but I think that may be selfishly motivated.  <smile>  So, instead
please
pray that I would be self-sufficient with the Lord's help.  I will
continue
with my web design business, and with my "multi-media" ministry (web
site,
special events and newsletter publication) for Freshwater Church
http://www.freshwaterchurch.org for now, and until I feel God leading me
to
revise my list of Things To Do.

Thanks SO much for your intercession on my behalf.

Chris Anne

Hi

4 months ago I awoke to a message that said I want a Divorve and
hubby(forrest Allen)

signed it LOVE Forrest---he later said that it was the hardest thing

that he has ever done in his life---and that he had no reason to tell
for
wanting a Divorce....since that time the Lord has impressed on me that
he wants to save
Forrest and Restore the marriage---and this has also been witness by
others
and God has shown others that he wants to save Forrest---So please pray
with me about this that The Lord will speak to Forrest heart and that he
will be saved and that whatever got into his mind that caused him to
leave the Lord will heal and breathe Life back into our marriage
and the Forrest will come home and forget about the Divorce....Also I
just got court papers for July 24th and I am believing God that this
date will not come to pass---but Forrest will cancel it and come home---

thanks

Linda

Well Ladies.. That's it for this week.. I would like to leave you
with this cute one. *smiles*

A Little girl on her way home from church turned to her mother and
said, "Mommy, the preacher's sermon this morning confused me."  The
mother said, "Oh! Why is that?"  The little girl replied, "Well, he said
that God is bigger than we are.  Is that true?"  "Yes, that's true." the
mother replied.  "He also said the God live within us.  Is that true
too?" said the little girl.  Again the mother replied, "Yes."
"Well," said the little girl. "If  God is bigger than us and He lives in
us wouldn't he show through?"

Think about it.....
Hugs till next week
Nancze
