Today's Devotion
December 21, 2000
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)
Today's Thoughts
For a few short years this earth
was blessed by having the Creator of all walking, talking,
teaching, preaching, praying, touching, etc. His life has
touched every life since that time . . . if not but to convict
and challenge the rest of mankind to accept His gift of eternal
life by accepting Him as their own Savior . . . the Savior of
the world.
Full of grace . . . full of truth!
No one before Him and no one after Him has been able to make
that claim. The word of God is true . . . as He bore witness
through His life here on earth! Grace is the gift He gave to
mankind, a perfect gift for an imperfect people! There has never
been nor will there ever be anyone like Him!
Take a few minutes today and thank
Him for His gift to us . . . tell a loved one of His precious
love for us . . . introduce a cherished friend to Him today! As
He brought His gifts to us . . . pass the gift along to someone
who has yet to meet the One whose gifts have made a way for us
where there seemed to be no way! He's our WAYMAKER!
Today's Prayer
Father, I would love to pass along the gift to others, yet I am
so timid and afraid of their response. Help me be bold . . .
help me to speak openly about Your great love for me, about the
Gift You have given us through the Word which was made flesh and
dwelt among us! Put the words in my mouth and open the door to
the person with whom you want me to share my faith, and I'll do
my best!
Father, Your mercies are new every
morning and Great is Your Faithfulness! Amen!
Have a blessed day!
