"Put on the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
(Ephesians 6:11)
Today's Thought
The armour of God . . . protection from
the enemy . . . worn in battle . . to be worn at all times! A
friend made a statement which shed a little more light on what we
wear! Most people get up every morning and spend several minutes
deciding what to put on. But one thing that every Christian should
put on is their armour. First thing, before they start into the
day, their armour needs to be in place every day of their life! An
interesting thought, though, is that the armour is something we
will only wear here on earth. On "Graduation Day", we
will have the opportunity to trade in our armour for a Robe of
Righteousness as our armour will no longer
be needed! What a glorious thought! Our battles are in this
lifetime, but they are not
eternal unlike our Robe of Righteousness which is indeed eternal.
The robe is for heaven when we don't have to fight any longer, but
here, we have to have on the armour at all times. Is your armour
on . . . are you ready for battle? Don't get caught without
it!
Today's Prayer
Father, just as I realize
that Jesus is the fulfillment of each piece of armour, I also
realize that I must "put it on" every day so that I will
be equipped and ready for battle, regardless of what may come my
way! Lord, thank you for going into battle with me, for providing
the protection I need on a daily basis, and for winning the victory!
Your provision, again, Lord, is truly awesome! Amen!
Have a blessed day!
