"Whatever God is . . . He is abundantly!" In other words, God isn't a "half-way" God! He  doesn't ride the fence, He doesn't start something and leave it unfinished. He excels at all He does! The hand of God is upon us . . . for good . . . if we seek Him! The Bible tells us that God is good and that it pleases Him to pour His goodness into the lives of His children who depend upon Him! 

Nothing can happen to you that the will of God does not allow. The enemy cannot come in and rob you of God's providential blessings! Remember that we serve an omnipotent God . . . more powerful than any devil ever thought to be. God can . . . and does . . . override the enemy's plans for your destruction time and time again!

Are you seeking Him? Are you depending upon Him? If you can honestly answer "Yes", then know this . . . "The hand of God is upon you for good!" 

Today's Prayer

Father, it is comforting to know that nothing can come against me that You are not aware of . . .. that Your hand is upon me as I walk day by day seeking Your face. Lord, help me to keep my eyes on You and not on my circumstances . . . help me remember that You are for me and not against me! Father, help me recognize Your provision in every area of my life, and let me be quick to praise You for all that You have provided for me! Finally, Lord, help me remember that You are a good God . . . that You work all things together for good . . . just because You're You! Amen!

The Wife's Choice

" 'A new commandment I give you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.' "

JOHN 13:34

Since most wives are "in love" with their husbands when they marry, what happens to that love? If you analyze each individual situation biblically, many would fall into one of these categories of sin that will destroy love: selfishness (1Corinthians 13:5), bitterness (1 Corinthians 13:5), or fear (1 John 4:18 ). Often, it is a combination. However, no matter what has happened and what she is feeling, God can work in her life and her husband's life, and He can give them a love for each other that they never dreamed possible. God's love is righteous and unselfish. When godly love is expressed between husband and wife, they will often experience tender feelings and a "sweetness" between the two of them. Their biblical love can draw them together in a more lasting intimate bond than all of the intensity of their early days of infatuation put together. The bond of love between a husband and a wife is special because of the "one flesh" intimacy that God has given them ( Genesis 2:24) . And even if her husband does not respond in love, it is a choice the wife must make because of Christ's command.
